Just a few more hours before we hit the road.
Just a few more weeks till it's over.
Taiwan seemed so far away a few months ago, and time just flew right by, and here I am, on the very day we're about to leave. Geee, I just can't wait for all this to be over. Starlight definitely won't be an easy one, but I guess it's a necessary thing. I can't say we've had a tough time in SOCC. I mean, the studying and more studying, we're kind of all been tuned to it, I mean it's not like studying is something so foreign.
In just 2 months after we come back, I'm gonna be a commissioned officer. That long awaited black bar will finally arrive. How can I say that I'll be responsble for the men under me by then? I honestly don't think we're ready yet, and somehow, only we can prepare ourselves for it. How we take our training and how we make use of the opportunity presented to us. It really depends whether you want to work hard to be good. I can't say I want to put my 100% into it but I'll motivate myself towards it.
So far, i've made quite a few good friends in SOCC, i will work hard to maintaining them and building them up. The other day, someone told me I was quite mean and stuff... then it all hit me. I know i'm not like that, just ask my friends who've known me before army. Then it hit me, well it was kinda obvious but you could say it was kinda subconscious. I act quite differently in the Army, I don't know if its defensive manoeuvres or what but I think it's gotta stop, and i'm gonna try. I should just be myself eh.
Back to some unserious stuff because I can't stand to be talking about serious stuff now ha. So i've watched a ton of movies lately, to name a few:
Looper x2 (haha yeah i don't know why i watched it twice but its darn good. One of the better movies this year. Interesting concept, and quite unique. A breath of fresh air if you will, from the standard hollywood flick.
Ted. - Ted was really funny, hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. It was quite relaxing and "let your hair down" kinda thing.
Taken 2 - Taken 2 was alright, not the best. Lots of action but i would say it ended too quickly and it was kinda predictable. Taken was better.
Sinister - I watched this on a dare with Edward and Gladys haha, it was kinda stupid. I mean it's darn scary, but it's not that interesting. I preferred Devil, that elevator horror movie.
Ha, I also got a pleasant surprise from a certain +44 on my whatsapp, totally made my day. I shan't say more since there are quite a few people reading this. Go figure.
